I was asked by Red Bull to help provide some commentary on how some of the world’s best chefs from were preparing for the London Marathon 2019, I’ve summarised my thoughts on their nutrition below and how you can avoid some of the pitfalls in preparation.

I was invited to speak at Complete Physio’s Marathon Prep evening – I sadly couldn’t make it.
However, I decided to record the content at another time so you can incorporate some of the ideas into your own training.
I cover the basics of marathon and running nutrition, the purpose of periodising nutrition for running performance, high fat and low carbohydrate diets, fluid intake for marathon and even carbohydrate loading for a marathon.
It’s about 30 minutes of your time, watch it whilst sipping your recovery drink.
